It had been years there's no sensation
of Chinese New Year.

In fact I really don't like festive seasons.

I remember when I was still very young in age,
I tried so hard reaching that thing.

I tiptoed.
I can't touch it.

I jumped.
I can't grab it.

Unless I take a chair and stand on it,
then only I'll be able to touch, grab and then pull it.

Or,
some adults decided to carry me up just to pull it
out of pure annoyance/ determination I showed.






Why did I try so hard to reach that little thing?

Honestly,
it was pure just-for-fun.


it was so high up, many years ago.

If you happen to not know what that thing was,
it's a light switch.

Though it's no longer used as we are now using the regular switch to on/off it,
I would still often times hold it in my hands whenever I saw it.

Recalling my old unreachable,
as now I grew so much taller
and touching/pulling it seemed so much effortless.

Sometimes...
when others say
"you'll never know if you never try"
is true, yet false at the same time.

Because some would say
"when the time comes, you'll know",
which showed to be true as well.
